Commonwealth Youth Summits

Commonwealth Youth Summits

Start date: Jan 1, 2012

End date: Dec 31, 2012

Venue: Various

Location: UK

Commonwealth Youth Summits offer a unique opportunity for young people to have their say.

Taking place in cities across the British Isles, each Youth Summit will bring together 120 young people aged 14-17.

Participants will play the role of a Commonwealth Prime Minister, President, Foreign Minister or journalist and will come together to debate global issues, such as health, education and poverty. It will be your responsibility to stand up for your country, make your voice heard and reach a consensus for the benefit of all – just like in the real Commonwealth!

After each Summit, a group of delegates will attend the National Youth Summit in London, where they'll have the opportunity to represent everyone who took part and put your views forward to senior members of the Commonwealth and the UK government.
